Set in rural Ireland during the mid-1970s, In a Small Town follows Brendan McSharry, a former London enforcer who returns home after the death of his estranged son, Finn. While the authorities rule the death an accident, Brendan suspects there is more to the story.
As he searches for answers, Brendan is forced to confront old enemies, buried secrets and a past he thought he had escaped. Set against the rugged backdrop of Ireland's west coast, In a Small Town is a gripping crime drama about family, loss and the price of uncovering the truth.

In a Small Town is a crime drama about family, loss and the past refusing to stay buried. Set in rural Ireland during the 1970s, it explores a world where secrets linger, loyalties run deep and silence can be just as dangerous as violence.
Through Brendan McSharry's search for the truth behind his son's death, the film examines guilt, redemption and the consequences of the choices we leave behind.

Production Updates
Production Update #1 Dated: 9th June 2026
We are pleased to announce that In a Small Town has officially entered active development.
The screenplay has now been completed and the film's first official teaser trailer has been released, offering audiences an early glimpse into the world, atmosphere and themes of the project.
Preparations are now underway for the next phase of development, including sponsorship discussions, casting outreach and pre-production planning. We will continue to share updates as the project progresses and look forward to bringing In a Small Town to the screen.
